School Resource Officer
My name is Kevin Nastasi and I am the School Resource Officer at Harrison Elementary School. My job is to keep the students, teachers, and staff safe during the day so that they can focus on learning and having fun.
My Family
I live in Gibbstown (Greenwich Township) where I recently retired as the town’s Police Chief. My wife, Cristie and I have two children, Marco and Nicole. Marco is a junior at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., where he is studying business. He hopes to follow his mother’s footsteps by attending law school after college. Nicole is a senior at Paul VI High School. She is an accomplished hula dancer who performs throughout South Jersey. We enjoy spending our free time at the beach in Brigantine.
My Experience
I attended Gloucester County College and the Gloucester County Police Academy. I began my law enforcement career working in the Borough of Paulsboro before joining the Greenwich Township Police force in 2000. During my time with the Greenwich Township Police Department, I served as a Patrolman, Investigator, Sergeant, Captain and ultimately Chief of Police. I was also a member of the Bike Patrol Unit. In May of 2021, I participated in the Police Unity Tour, biking more than 290 miles to honor law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. Before becoming a police officer, I worked as a substitute teacher. I have been a youth and high school wrestling coach for many years.
